12. Products and Product Liability
Where we recommend or supply nutritional supplements, herbal medicines or other natural health products, our recommendations are based on the health information you have provided during your consultation and our professional clinical judgement at the time.
Clients are responsible for:
reading all product labels, ingredients lists and dosage instructions before use;
informing us of any known allergies, intolerances, sensitivities or medical conditions that may be relevant to the safe use of a product;
advising us if they are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy before commencing any new supplement or herbal medicine; and
contacting us if they are uncertain whether a recommended product is suitable for their individual circumstances.
Some products may contain ingredients that are known allergens or that may not be suitable for certain individuals. These may include, but are not limited to, nuts, gluten, dairy, soy or other naturally derived ingredients. Certain herbs, nutrients or other ingredients may also be contraindicated in particular medical conditions, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or when taken in combination with prescription medications or other supplements.
If you experience an allergic reaction, adverse event or unexpected side effect after using a recommended or purchased product, you should discontinue use immediately and seek appropriate medical advice where necessary. We also ask that you notify us as soon as reasonably practicable so we can update your clinical record and provide appropriate guidance.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Viriditas Natural Health is not liable for allergic reactions, sensitivities or adverse effects arising from the use of products where those products have been used in accordance with the manufacturer's directions and our clinical recommendations, unless liability cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation.
For reasons of client safety, quality assurance and product integrity, we are unable to accept returns or provide refunds for products that have been opened or used, including where a client experiences an allergic or adverse reaction, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
